It’s been a while.

I haven’t had any major fanlisting news to write about, but I have started going through everything and updating/deleting broken links. I’m always looking for affiliates for this collective and all of my fanlistings as well, so please email me if you are interested.

I have noticed that fanlistings have sort of fallen out of popularity. A lot of sites that used to keep fanlistings have abandoned the idea. I am busier now than I was when I found TFL back in 2004, but I don’t think I could ever give up fanlistings all together. I’ve put too much into them, and they’re a great excuse to create layouts when you’re bored.

I’ve been so upset over Michael Jackson’s death. I was such a fan and had so many great memories from childhood involving his music and image. I think it is difficult to deal with a death like this when you’re as nostalgic a person as I am. I run the fanlisting for his best-selling album, Thriller, so please join if you are a fan.

New Design for Devoted

Finally! I meant to get to it sooner, but you know how it goes. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out, and I think the image is really cute and matches well with the title of the collective. What’s funny is that I used essentially the same color palette as the old layout, but without realizing! Oh well

I’m gonna go make some new codes to match the header, and I might add a contact form, too.

Letter from Discovery = New Layout

I received a certified letter in the mail today from Discovery Communications, which is the owner of Animal Planet. It wasn’t a full-blown “cease-and-desist”, but it basically said that I needed to stop using their copyrighted image in the Animal Planet fanlisting’s layout.

So, I just finished the new layout because it made sense to comply as soon as possible and I don’t want to cause trouble with them since I love all of the Discovery channels so much. The site really needed a revamp anyway. Hopefully I will get around to making new buttons to replace some of the old (ugly) ones.

Mariah Carey fanlistings

I redesigned the layouts for both of my Mariah fanlistings (albums Butterfly and Emotions), and I think they look a lot better than before.

I have always been a Mariah fan. My mother would constantly play her debut album (back in 1990) and I’d sing and dance and try to replicate everything she did. I have audio cassettes of me singing her songs at age 5. My mother and I are both still Mariah-lovers, and we have always been rooting for her throughout her career pitfalls. Since I’m so nostalgic lately, I applied at TFL for her first album. Wish me luck!
